Copper Point, in Invermere

Copper Point has two courses. The Point is the championship layout — wide fairways, real elevation change, and hazards placed to make you think. The Ridge is the more unusual one: a Masters-style course built from full-length par 3s and 4s, which makes for a quicker round without feeling like a short course.

Eagle Ranch, above the river

Eagle Ranch is set along canyon bluffs above the Columbia River and the Lake Windermere wetlands. Elevated tees, big drops, and views across to both the Rockies and the Purcells. If you play one round on a short trip, this is the one people remember.

Greywolf, at Panorama

Greywolf sits at Panorama Mountain Resort, about 18 km west of Invermere. Its signature hole is Cliffhanger, a par 3 where the tee shot has to carry Hopeful Creek and hold a cliffside green. Being higher up, Greywolf usually opens later in spring than the valley-bottom courses.

Season

The valley courses generally run from around mid-April to early October. Greywolf opens later because of the elevation. Book ahead in July and August — this is a busy golf destination for Calgary, which is about three hours east.
